The youth group is meeting every friday evening at 7.30 pm in the parish house (Goetheplatz)
We welcome everybody who is interested in joning us.
... you could hear often singing in the parish house St.Andreas in Elbingerode. The reason: ten spanish people from Murica, who came for the "Worl Youth Day" in Cologne.
Host parents and volunteers had prepared an extensive programme. Besides the main programme in Magdeburg, they visited towns like Elbingerode and Wernigerode, were sight-seeing in the Harz mountains and also got to see the monastery Huysburg.
A crucifix was built up at the ruin of the old church St.Andreas in bodfeld, together with the members of the parish. Mr. Kramer from the protestant church talked to the guests about the history of Bodfeld.
The high-lights every day were the morning curch service and the common evenings with spanish songs and dances.
Both the spanish friends and the parish had fun in those times with jokes and interesting experiences about Spain and Germany. That is every paticipant is convicend to have experienced the best groop and the best time in all Germany with their group.
the last "Que viva Espana" seemed to be the sadest on ever heard. The farewell was to see in every face of paticipants as of them priests, drove off with the bus towards Cologne.
Also the guests were just here for the "Days of Meeting" there is no doubt from anyone that this short meeting has developed a long friendly relationship.
